Who We Are

Popped Lotus is a small family owned business based in Boulder, Colorado. Our founder was first introduced to the deliciousness of popped lotus seeds as a child when his mother gave them to him as an afternoon snack. In his late 20’s, he found himself fed up with foods that were either chalk full of calories or healthy but barely edible. He was determined to find a balance between good-for-you snacks and addicting junk food. That journey led him right back to his childhood.

After rediscovering his childhood treat, he decided not to keep this amazing snack food to himself. By improving upon what his mother gave him as a child, he now offers popped lotus seeds in a variety of flavors that can help you feel healthier while exploring a non-traditional snack.

What We Offer

Popped Lotus offers a healthier alternative snack food that is both delicious and nutritious. Popped lotus seeds are commonly used in traditional Chinese medicine for their powerful healing properties, however they are equally as popular in Indian cuisine as snack food. Thanks to their dense protein content, lotus seeds are also an excellent option for vegetarians and meat eaters alike.

Our popped lotus goodness is available in a variety of flavors including Sea Salt, and Kettle Lotus. Whatever flavor you desire, you can now enjoy it in a healthy, nutritious and delicious snack

Why Choose Popped Lotus?

The question should be, why continue to eat traditional snacks that don’t add nutritional value to your diet when you can enjoy food that is good for you and your family? By buying our popped lotus seeds, you give yourself and your family a better treat that only a handful of people know about!
